About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide strategic Human Resources and Industrial Relations consultation and operational support to leaders across key Corporate groups
- Work collaboratively with corporate leadership teams to align operational and people strategies
- Serve as a trusted advisor by addressing business challenges, guiding organizational change, managing labour relations, and partnering with internal Centres of Expertise
- Serve as the primary HR contact for corporate client groups and advise leaders on complex HR and labour relations matters
- Support workforce planning, organizational design, talent management, succession planning, and change management initiatives
- Maintain positive union-management relationships and manage complex industrial relations matters to resolution in a unionized environment
- Coach leaders through performance management, talent development, employee engagement initiatives, and complex workplace situations
- Collaborate with Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, and Equity & Inclusion Centres of Expertise
- Guide leaders on corporate policy application and employment legislation
- Drive strategic initiatives for a modern digital workforce
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive HR Business Partner experience, preferably supporting corporate functions within a complex organization
- Imperative bilingualism in both English and French, with advanced written and verbal communication skills in both official languages
- Direct experience in a unionized work environment is strongly preferred
- Professional HR designation (CHRP, CHRL) is preferred
- Proven ability to build strong working relationships, exercise influence, demonstrate sound judgment and discretion, and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing
- Successful candidates must complete a mandatory criminal record check and other background checks based on operational requirements
