About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Research, write, adapt, integrate and publish French-language digital content covering the Eurovision Song Contest
- Drive engagement across Radio-Canada’s website and social media channels while meeting editorial standards and timelines
- Monitor Eurovision news, trends and online chatter to pitch creative story and content ideas
- Participate in production meetings and contribute editorial ideas, formats and story angles for French-speaking audiences
- Research, gather, curate and verify information from diverse sources
- Curate and adapt content about artists, songs, behind-the-scenes moments and contest highlights for web and social channels
- Review and select video clips and visual assets
- Request artwork and shoot original photos or short video sequences as needed
- Write engaging, informative and promotional copy tailored to each platform
- Research and insert hyperlinks, metadata and optimization elements to improve discoverability and accessibility
- Publish content across French-language Eurovision accounts according to platform best practices
- Assist with community management and escalate editorial, reputational or operational risks
- Maintain the publishing schedule, coordinate approvals and track production workflows
- Monitor content analytics and recommend performance-driven adjustments
- Report to the Project Lead, Digital Strategy and Social Media, and collaborate with the Digital Entertainment team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Two (2) years’ relevant experience
- Exceptional French writing and editing skills
- Strong working knowledge of English is an asset
- Proficiency with content management systems (CMSs) and social media publishing tools
- Solid grasp of digital journalism techniques, including research, interviewing and storytelling
- Strong understanding of social platforms, digital discoverability and web accessibility standards
- Ability to work independently, balance competing priorities and meet strict deadlines
- Broad knowledge base and keen interest in current events
- Passion for music, entertainment or the Eurovision Song Contest is an asset
- Successful completion of an interview
- May be subject to skills and knowledge testing
- Mandatory criminal record check
- Other background checks may be conducted based on operational requirements
- Must adhere to the Code of Conduct as a condition of employment
