About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and/or modify reusable components for Radio-Canada's digital platforms, such as the audio/video player
  • Ensure compliance with standards and control product quality throughout project execution
  • Stay informed about trends in digital development
  • Proactively propose solutions to challenges
  • Participate in Agile Scrum activities to review production projects, make corrections and adjustments, and measure completed-project results
  • Participate in developing user stories for various products
  • Ensure application performance under high loads
  • Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives and application deployments
  • Participate in code reviews and solution deployments
  • Work closely with product owners, architects and technical managers to execute front-end development and coordinate technical work for requested features
  • Help deliver a harmonized product powering CBC Gem and ICI TOU.TV

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in software development
  • Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core and WebAPI
  • Excellent grasp of REST API principles
  • Knowledge of Git
  • Knowledge of SQL Server and Entity Framework
  • Knowledge of Redis is an asset
  • Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript is an asset
  • Knowledge of Azure Data Lake is an asset
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and Azure cloud is an asset
  • Knowledge of audio-video broadcasting on the web (streaming) is an asset
  • Knowledge of other programming languages is an asset
  • Knowledge of design patterns is an asset
  • Bilingualism (English and French), spoken and written, is mandatory
  • Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing
  • Successful candidates must complete a mandatory criminal record check and other role-dependent background checks
