About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and maintain the enterprise architecture vision, principles, standards, and roadmaps aligned with the bank's business strategy
  • Develop and govern the Enterprise Architecture framework across application, data, integration, and technology domains
  • Maintain and evolve the enterprise application portfolio of 1,000+ applications through rationalization, modernization, and technical debt reduction
  • Lead Architecture Review Board processes, evaluate solution designs, ensure compliance with EA principles, and make architectural decisions
  • Manage the Technology Radar, assess emerging technologies, define technology standards and lifecycle policies, and guide adoption and sunset decisions
  • Collaborate with tribe leads, product owners, and business stakeholders across 10 domains
  • Drive adoption of TOGAF, BIAN, and ArchiMate
  • Conduct architecture maturity assessments and define improvement roadmaps
  • Provide strategic guidance on data architecture and regulatory alignment
  • Facilitate cross-tribe architectural alignment and resolve architectural conflicts
  • Mentor solution architects and engineering leads
  • Communicate architecture strategy, decisions, and trade-offs to C-level stakeholders and technical audiences

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7–10+ years of IT experience, including at least 3 years in enterprise or solution architecture roles in banking or financial services
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks: TOGAF and Zachman
  • Knowledge of modeling notations: ArchiMate, UML, and BPMN
  • Hands-on experience with EA tools such as LeanIX, Ardoq, Mega, or similar
  • Deep understanding of banking domains: core banking systems, payments, lending, customer onboarding, KYC/AML, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience with BIAN service landscape and practical application
  • Expertise in integration architecture, API management, ESB/iPaaS, event-driven patterns, Kafka, event streaming, and microservices governance
  • Understanding of AWS, Azure, hybrid infrastructure strategies, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform
  • Experience with data mesh/data fabric, master data management, data governance, and analytics platforms such as Snowflake or dbt
  • Knowledge of DDD, CQRS, Event Sourcing, CI/CD, DevOps, and observability
  • Experience in technology portfolio governance, technology radar management, lifecycle policies, build-vs-buy analysis, and vendor assessment
  • Experience facilitating architecture review boards, workshops, and cross-functional alignment sessions
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strategic thinking combined with pragmatic execution
  • Fluent English communication skills, written and spoken
  • TOGAF or equivalent EA certification is preferred
  • Experience with Agile at scale, core banking migration or transformation, AI/ML integration patterns, business capability modeling, and IT strategy development are preferred
