About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and document system knowledge in Confluence using the format prescribed by Quasar
  • Maintain traceability between architectural and QA components
  • Create process diagrams and mind maps showing system components, end-to-end data flows, and dependencies
  • Conduct technical and acceptance testing across multiple projects
  • Estimate testing effort and manage day-to-day testing activities and reporting
  • Manage defects and produce QA deliverables
  • Document system functions, requirements, and acceptance criteria
  • Develop and maintain QA tool integrations and system information views
  • Support Quasar, architecture, CCI, project teams, and suppliers with QA deliverables
  • Maintain system requirements and perform retrospective reviews after project, BAU, ad hoc, and service updates
  • Support data-model development for future data analytics
  • Support the QA Manager in delivering QA across releases and changes
  • Develop Customer Acceptance Test objectives matrices and acceptance test criteria
  • Work with business stakeholders to obtain sign-off on user test requirements
  • Manage QA activities for self, team, and suppliers
  • Automate regression and functional tests
  • Manage automation scripts and codebases using GitHub and GitLab
  • Support automation testing within CI/CD and DevOps models
  • Document automation and technical testing knowledge and train team members
  • Apply static assurance across testing stages
  • Maintain system testing knowledge and contribute to the Service Desk Knowledge Base
  • Ensure supplier testing aligns with RDG policy and standards
  • Develop a Test Assurance Framework for third-party software delivery
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders, business users, vendors, and suppliers
  • Report daily testing status to the test manager and stakeholders
  • Contribute to building the organisation’s automation framework
  • Remain flexible with day-to-day responsibilities as required by the Quality Assurance team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience or competence building and maintaining knowledge of the core functioning of assigned systems
  • Ability to document core functions, requirements, and acceptance criteria
  • Knowledge of QA tools and their interoperability
  • Experience reviewing and maintaining requirement traceability matrices
  • Ability to create process diagrams and mind maps
  • Experience with ConnectALL and test case-to-requirement mapping
  • Understanding of system analysis, functional and non-functional testing
  • Experience with manual and automated end-to-end testing
  • Experience testing in waterfall and agile environments
  • Strong acceptance testing background
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and ALM or similar tools
  • Knowledge of automation tools including PyCharm, Selenium Open Source, Robot Framework, Python, ReadyAPI, Saucelabs, and LoadRunner
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps models
  • Experience with GitHub, GitLab, and code management
  • Proficiency in risk-based testing
  • Ability to work independently and manage project deliverables
  • Ability to produce test plans, strategies, scope, traceability matrices, test cases, and test reports
  • Bachelor of Technology in Engineering and/or relevant Computer Science or Information Technology qualification
  • ISTQB or similar certification in Advanced Test Management and Agile
  • Ability to collaborate with teams, stakeholders, vendors, and suppliers
  • Ability to report testing status and escalate delays promptly
