About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the collections team, monitoring targets, productivity, quality, and team development
Manage external collection agencies, tracking results, targets, and the quality of negotiations
Develop collection strategies based on student profile, delinquency stage, and relationship stage
Monitor recovery, delinquency, settlements, payment promises, and collection cost metrics
Define negotiation policies and identify opportunities to improve processes, channels, and tools
Lead the implementation and advancement of conversational AI for collections
Partner with Finance, Academic, Customer Service, Technology, and Legal teams
Present results, analyses, and action plans to leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Financial Management, Economics, Accounting, Sales Management, Business Processes, or a related field
Experience managing collections and credit recovery operations
Experience leading teams and managing outsourced collection agencies
Experience working with KPIs, targets, and recovery strategies
Experience with collection tools, CRM systems, automation, and digital channels
Experience with or knowledge of conversational AI applied to negotiation and customer service
Analytical mindset, with the ability to translate metrics into strategies and action plans
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a results-oriented approach
