About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own major parts of the RapidFort enterprise security platform from problem definition through shipped software
  • Design end-to-end workflows for risk understanding, remediation, governance, and reporting
  • Redesign data-dense vulnerability lists, image and workload inventories, cluster views, risk summaries, and operational dashboards
  • Improve navigation of large datasets using tables, filters, search, comparison, hierarchy, visualization, and drill-down
  • Define information architecture and interaction models across the platform
  • Design roles, permissions, organizations, environments, policies, onboarding, audit, reporting, and administration experiences
  • Design for security practitioners, developers, platform engineers, administrators, and executives
  • Partner with Product and Engineering on discovery, prototyping, implementation, and shipped quality
  • Participate in customer conversations, usability sessions, and product discovery
  • Use qualitative feedback, product analytics, and behavioral data to guide decisions
  • Evolve components, patterns, and interaction standards in the design system
  • Use AI tools for research, exploration, prototyping, content, and iteration
  • Help define AI and agent-driven workflows in RapidFort
  • Partner with Marketing on website experiences, launches, campaigns, diagrams, visuals, and product stories
  • Maintain consistency across product, website, presentations, and sales materials
  • Direct external agencies, contractors, or specialists as needed
  • Help establish design processes and potentially build and lead the design team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to the role’s support of federal government projects
  • 5+ years of product design experience
  • Deep experience in complex B2B, enterprise, platform, developer, infrastructure, data, or operational products
  • Portfolio of shipped product work, especially complex workflows and data-dense interfaces
  • Strong systems thinking
  • Excellent interaction design, information architecture, UX, and visual design craft
  • Experience designing products where users need to understand and act on large amounts of information
  • Ability to simplify technically complex concepts without removing important details
  • Strong product judgment and confidence to challenge requirements
  • Experience working directly and iteratively with Product Managers and Engineers
  • Ability to operate independently without a large design organization or highly detailed requirements
  • Advanced Figma skills, including components, variables, design systems, responsive layouts, and prototypes
  • Practical, regular use of modern AI tools in the design process
  • Clear, direct written and verbal communication
  • Portfolio link required for application
