About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work across projects from conception to realization while maintaining a keen eye for design
  • Lead designers and work closely with Creative Directors and Design Directors to push work forward
  • Develop concepts and articulate clear design intent through every project phase
  • Guide teams and ensure work remains sharp from major design moves through final details
  • Lead project teams through concept design, design development, and delivery
  • Collaborate with clients and partners to evolve ideas into aligned, buildable solutions
  • Coordinate with consultants and manage considerations involving budgets, schedules, and approvals
  • Mentor fellow design staff

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design
  • 8+ years of experience in an architecture or design studio
  • Strong experience leading project teams through concept design, design development, and delivery
  • Proven ability to translate big ideas into cohesive spatial experiences—balancing narrative, brand, and function
  • Experience collaborating with clients and partners to evolve ideas into aligned, buildable solutions
  • Fluency and working knowledge of production tools and documentation workflows (Revit/Rhino/SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
  • Familiarity with coordination across consultants, budgets, schedules, and approvals
  • State licensure (or active pursuit) encouraged but not required
  • A team player with a positive attitude who’s enthusiastic about tackling the unexpected and unknown
  • A creative person with strong graphic, organizational, and communication skills
  • A conceptual thinker who’s always seeking inspiration
  • A steward of craft and clarity: translating intention into projects that feel cohesive, human, and thoughtfully executed
  • A confident decision-maker and risk-taker
  • A leader who’s interested in mentoring fellow design staff
  • Ability to design conceptually and detail thoroughly, moving between macro and micro project phases
