About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on rolling stock
- Alternate between a troubleshooting center and a maintenance workshop near the terminus of a metro, RER, or tramway line
- Decide whether a train may return to service or must be taken out of service after an intervention, while ensuring railway safety
- Optimize the center’s operations to meet rolling-stock availability requirements
- Monitor rolling-stock behavior to detect potential anomalies
- Perform supervisory duties by helping lead teams of skilled workers and technicians
Requirements
What you’ll need- Hold a two- or three-year post-secondary degree (Bac +2/3) in electrical engineering, electronics, industrial IT, guided-transport maintenance, or automation
- Previous troubleshooting experience is required
- ENIC-NARIC comparability statement required for qualifications obtained abroad
- Fitness for the role required for candidates with disabilities
- Strong sense of responsibility, responsiveness, and team spirit
- Availability to work rotating 2x8 shifts, with staggered days off at the troubleshooting center, and fixed working hours in the workshop
- Successful completion of the recruitment process: digital multiple-choice test, practical test, interview, and medical examination
- Administrative background check conducted by the French Ministry of the Interior
