About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage a team of 15 project managers and operations managers within the Tramway scope
- Contribute to the transformation and modernization of tramway network systems
- Lead projects to separate networks and information systems as part of the opening up to competition
- Deliver line extension projects and new tramway infrastructure
- Deploy operations support and passenger information systems
- Implement innovative services associated with the arrival of new rolling stock
- Adapt and modernize telecommunications infrastructure and industrial systems
- Oversee the entire project life cycle, from requirements qualification and scoping through commissioning, handover to operators, and transition to maintenance
- Define priorities, set objectives, and ensure a balanced workload
- Support employees’ skills development and career progression
- Foster team cohesion, cooperation, and the sharing of best practices
- Ensure the application of project management methods, processes, and standards
- Ensure quality, cost, and schedule objectives are met in coordination with internal clients
- Monitor and report on the project portfolio, including progress, costs, schedules, risks, and deliverables
- Conduct annual and professional development reviews
- Identify recruitment needs, participate in candidate selection, and support the onboarding of new employees
- Develop and monitor skills development plans
- Promote quality of working life, local social dialogue, and compliance with company policies
- Report on activities to management
- Lead decision-making and escalations concerning costs, schedules, resources, and risks
- Represent the unit to internal clients, business divisions, operators, and project partners
- Contribute to the Tramway domain’s strategic roadmap and its operational implementation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree, engineering degree, or equivalent university qualification
- 10 to 15 years of proven experience managing complex projects
- Significant experience managing teams
- Ideally, experience in transportation, infrastructure, industrial systems, or telecommunications
- Project management expertise: structuring, planning, risk management, cost management, value analysis, and facilitation
- Proficiency in V-model and Agile methodologies, functional analysis, systems engineering, technical integration, and systems qualification
- Ability to unite multidisciplinary teams, make complex trade-offs, and work in environments with significant operational and strategic challenges
- Resilience, autonomy, and curiosity
- Leadership and strong interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail, synthesis, and analytical skills
