About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage all aspects of the IFE and IFC Operations Subcontracts and Commodities Organization
  • Manage cross-functional teams responsible for subcontract management, contract negotiation, and strategic commodity management
  • Support on-time delivery to RAVE customers
  • Coordinate internal and external planning, development, and management of the RAVE supplier base
  • Develop and execute supply base commodity strategies
  • Plan and review department budgets
  • Create, negotiate, and maintain supplier contracts
  • Define contract strategies with senior management
  • Identify cost-down opportunities with Engineering and senior management
  • Define make/buy strategy, supplier selection, and SOW/RFQ creation for new developments
  • Support early-stage supplier selection and coordinate RFPs
  • Assist Procurement Management with new product hand-off and contractual challenges
  • Work with Legal to create and execute supplier contracts and compliance documents
  • Drive subcontract management and ensure key suppliers are under contract with required terms and conditions flow-downs
  • Own commodity management processes and assist with assigned commodity strategies
  • Lead supplier PPV management and drive BU PPV goals
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior and executive management
  • Promote a customer-centric culture
  • Ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies and standards
  • Lead development of subcontract and commodity process policies and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 7+ years of experience working in Programs, Subcontracts and Supplier Management
  • 5+ years of experience working in a Management role
  • 1-2 years of experience establishing budgets
  • Previous experience creating contracts
  • Experienced negotiator
  • Ability to adapt, plan and organize in a constantly changing environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be proactive, meticulous, organized, and detail oriented
  • Ability to efficiently resolve problems
  • Ability to accomplish multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal direction
  • Assist and mentor team members
