About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in architecture, design, development, testing, and integration of software features supporting RAVE In-flight Entertainment (IFE)
  • Contribute to software feature creation, development, improvement, packaging, tooling, testing, test automation, continuous integration, delivery, and documentation
  • Build and maintain unit, integration, and system-level automated tests
  • Triage, debug, and resolve issues
  • Own software quality and drive continuous improvement
  • Provide accurate estimates and deliver commitments transparently
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, users, and teams on design, implementation, and approvals
  • Participate in meetings and technical discussions
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support product success
  • Present technical concepts clearly and effectively
  • Follow and help improve SDLC and organizational processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • Software development in C/C++ on Linux/UNIX, embedded, or Windows (.NET, C#, JavaScript, SQL)
  • Experience with modern technologies including Qt/QML, Node.js, Golang, React, TypeScript, Python, PostgreSQL, Docker, MQTT, and microservices
  • Experience with IPC, RPC, sockets, or A/V players would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of networking and protocols including Ethernet, ARINC 429, RS-485, I2C, SPI, MDIO, or CAN would be advantageous
  • Experience with npm, Bower, or Webpack would be advantageous
  • Debugging and troubleshooting skills
