About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the integration and testing of In-Flight Connectivity (IFC) products for field deployment
- Define and maintain comprehensive test plans for in-flight connectivity systems
- Develop functional, performance, and reliability test strategies
- Oversee setup, configuration, and calibration of lab equipment
- Maintain readiness of hardware and software test environments
- Manage the lab schedule and forecast test environment readiness
- Execute manual and automated test cases
- Document test procedures, results, and defects according to industry standards
- Maintain traceability between requirements and test cases
- Prioritize testing using previous test data, release notes, and risk-based testing
- Provide updates on test progress, defect status, and risk assessments
- Prepare detailed test reports for stakeholders and management
- Develop and manage test schedules aligned with project timelines and delivery needs
- Coordinate with engineering, product, and operations teams
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation
- Ensure compliance with aviation standards and regulatory requirements
- Drive quality assurance best practices and continuous improvement
- Mentor and guide junior test engineers
- Facilitate knowledge-sharing and training sessions
- Support organizational relationships, customer visits, sales, and the program office as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a related technical field
- 10+ years of experience in product development, integration, and field deployment, with a strong focus on system-level integration and testing
- 7+ years in integration and test lead roles
- Expertise in system integration practices, verification & validation methods, and structured testing processes for complex hardware/software products
- Strong understanding of in-flight connectivity systems and protocols
- Experience with flight connect lab equipment setup, SW Uploads, and simulators
- Proficiency in test management tools and documentation
- Working knowledge of automation frameworks
- Hands-on experience planning, executing, and reporting on integration and test activities in alignment with program schedules
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing technical test documentation to meet engineering, program, and customer requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues, evaluate root causes, and implement effective solutions
- Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional and global teams, including engineering, product management, and customer-facing groups
- Strong communication skills to clearly present test results, participate in customer discussions, and support program reviews
- Prior aerospace or in-flight connectivity/IFE product experience preferred
