About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead commercial negotiations with pharmaceutical manufacturers, seeking cost competitiveness, margin improvement, and increased profitability.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow sales, market share, and category performance for generic medicines.
- Manage performance indicators related to sales, margin, COGS, inventory, inventory coverage, and working capital.
- Conduct market, competitor, pricing, and category positioning analyses.
- Develop and monitor business plans with key suppliers.
- Identify opportunities to optimize the portfolio and improve competitiveness.
- Partner with Commercial Planning, Pricing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Marketing teams.
- Prepare executive materials and analyses for leadership forums.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Pharmacy, Marketing, or a related field.
- Postgraduate degree or MBA in Business, Commercial Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Finance is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Power BI and analytics tools.
- Experience developing AI solutions or applications is a plus.
- Knowledge of Strategic Sourcing, Procurement Excellence, or Category Management is a plus.
- Knowledge of the Brazilian pharmaceutical market.
- Knowledge of generic and branded-generic medicines.
- Understanding of the competitive dynamics of the pharmaceutical industry.
- Knowledge of market intelligence tools, such as IQVIA, Close-Up, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of demand planning.
- Knowledge of P&L, margin, COGS, and profitability.
- Knowledge of price management, sales, working capital, and the cash conversion cycle.
- Experience in strategic procurement, commercial operations, category management, or procurement.
- Experience negotiating with large-scale suppliers.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical market, especially with generic, branded-generic, or prescription medicines.
- Proven track record in cost-reduction, margin-improvement, or competitiveness-enhancement projects.
- Experience with financial analysis, profitability, and business performance indicator management.
- Experience with competitive bidding, strategic sourcing, or RFP processes is a plus.
