About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Map, analyze, and redesign tax processes (AS IS and TO BE)
- Identify opportunities to automate and simplify tax routines
- Standardize procedures and internal controls
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational performance
- Conduct root cause analyses of recurring issues
- Participate in implementation and improvement projects involving SAP and other tax systems
- Support initiatives related to Brazilian Tax Reform (CBS, IBS, and Selective Tax)
- Prepare functional documentation and business requirements
- Serve as the focal point between Tax, IT, Procurement, Shared Services Center (SSC), and suppliers
- Monitor tax risks and propose preventive actions
- Develop action plans to reduce outstanding issues, rework, and non-compliance
- Develop dashboards and management reports to support decision-making
- Analyze and post tax documents, supporting backlogs, month-end closings, and routine activities with a focus on process improvement and automation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Production Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields
- At least 3 years of experience in tax processes
- Experience in tax receipt and processing, tax assessment, tax compliance, or related areas
- Experience working in a Shared Services Center (SSC) or high-volume operational environment
- Experience with process and controls projects, improvements, and automation
- Knowledge of Business Process Management (BPM)
- Knowledge of Lean Office
- Knowledge of KPI Management
- Advanced Excel
- Power BI
- Power Automate
- SAP (MM, FI, and Tax)
- Automation and continuous improvement tools
- Lean Manufacturing
- Intermediate VBA
- Knowledge of ICMS, IPI, ISS, PIS, and COFINS is desirable
- Knowledge of withholding taxes (IRRF, PCC, INSS, and ISS) is desirable
