About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze performance, scalability, availability, and security requirements
Develop AI-powered automations for incident, service request, problem, knowledge management, and other IT processes
Automate provisioning, configuration, patching, compliance, and lifecycle workflows across server, compute, storage, network, database, and endpoint environments
Implement AIOps capabilities to correlate alerts, identify patterns, predict failures, reduce noise, and perform automated remediation
Streamline monitoring, backup, recovery, archival, and application deployment through intelligent automation
Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code templates, testing workflows, and CI/CD pipelines using AI-assisted development tools
Support DevOps initiatives with automated validation, policy enforcement, deployment safeguards, and repeatable runbooks
Build AI-assisted cloud optimization workflows for rightsizing, resource cleanup, forecasting, and tagging normalization
Automate purchasing, budgeting, financial reconciliation, hardware lifecycle, and software asset management workflows
Improve project intake, planning, and prioritization using estimation, dependency analysis, and scheduling support
Produce automation guides, operational runbooks, architectural diagrams, and training materials
Partner with IT leadership and cross-functional collaborators to identify automation opportunities and drive adoption
Collaborate with IT engineers and security teams to ensure availability, interoperability, performance, cybersecurity, and compliance
Mentor and collaborate with team members across teams
Drive continuous process improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
10+ years of IT systems engineering experience across servers, networks, storage, cloud, databases, and end user and endpoint management
Industry leading certifications are preferred
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or comparable technologies
Strong foundation in API utilization and systems integration
Demonstrated experience with M365 or equivalent experience and the Microsoft ecosystem, including on-premise/cloud, Azure, Entra, Endpoint management, Server, Active Directory, and Intune
Demonstrated experience in hybrid, multi-forest, multi-tenant, and multi-cloud architectures
Ability to rapidly understand new or complex technical ecosystems and operational workflows and design appropriate integration approaches
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and deliver results in evolving or ambiguous environments
Experience collaborating with enterprise operational teams, particularly manufacturing, quality, engineering services, or supply chain operations
Hands-on experience with LLMs, generative AI pipelines, and agent-based automation frameworks, including tool orchestration and retrieval-augmented generation
Familiarity with AI-assisted IT operations tools, AIOps platforms, or LLM-based agents
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including interpreting logs, metrics, traces, and other telemetry
Preferred: infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible and CI/CD pipeline automation
Preferred: observability platforms, monitoring systems, SIEM/SOAR tools, and automated remediation frameworks
Preferred: financial processes, purchasing workflows, asset management, or cloud cost optimization
Preferred: internal engineering, platform operations, or IT automation roles
Preferred: regulated government environments such as GCC High or AWS GovCloud
