About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Demonstrate understanding of multiple products and disease states
  • Interact with Account, PM, creative, internal teams, and clients to meet strategic objectives
  • Work with the Associate Medical Director to manage multiple accounts from a scientific perspective
  • Manage scientific and strategic aspects of medical communication tactics, meetings, and programs
  • Participate in strategic planning and project meetings
  • Self-educate on industry innovation and conceptualize programs
  • Develop understanding of assigned products, medical areas, and competitors
  • Identify and communicate medical updates and medical-regulatory milestones
  • Recommend new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with Editorial to resolve grammatical and stylistic issues
  • Take a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to assignments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Advanced scientific degree (Ph.D., MD, PharmD) preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in a Medical Communications agency setting preferred; internship, preceptorship, or equivalent also considered
  • Ability to work collaboratively to develop and execute scientific communications and promotional initiatives
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Expert writing and editorial skills with medical terminology expertise
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to deliver quick turnaround on varied tasks
  • Strong self-motivation and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, detail-oriented environment
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft applications and Internet research platforms
