About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and build global, asset-agnostic money-movement systems across regions, currencies, and financial partners
  • Build production flows handling fiat and stablecoins
  • Design and operate scalable systems that move and reconcile funds across jurisdictions, channels, and asset types
  • Build observability into every layer
  • Lead incident response and drive long-term reliability improvements
  • Stay current with fintech, technology, and compliance trends and evolve systems accordingly
  • Partner with engineering, product, customer success, and finance teams
  • Own and operate business-critical Treasury systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 6 years of software engineering experience, with a track record of owning and operating business-critical systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with attention to correctness, edge cases, and failure modes
  • Backend systems experience, including APIs, services, and infrastructure
  • Experience with relational databases such as Postgres and MySQL
  • Understanding of transactions, data integrity, and performance tradeoffs
  • Experience using ORMs such as TypeORM or equivalent
  • Ability to balance technical depth with product understanding and make sound technical tradeoffs
  • High standards for code quality, reliability, and peer review
  • Clear communication and respectful collaboration
  • Ability to learn new domains, work across the stack, and adapt quickly in fast-moving environments
  • Familiarity with TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, and AWS, or strong transferable engineering fundamentals
  • Preferred: financial-domain experience in payments, disbursements, custody, or cards
  • Preferred: experience designing stateless, scalable, resilient systems with asynchronous workflows, distributed services, and cloud infrastructure
  • Preferred: fluency with AI development tools
  • Preferred: full-stack experience across backend, frontend, infrastructure, and data
  • Preferred: experience in high-growth teams
