About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independently manage customer IT environments
- Analyze support tickets remotely and on-site, and resolve technical issues
- Plan and carry out on-site customer visits, primarily in the Aachen urban region
- Set up workstations, computers, and peripheral devices
- Test hardware and install and configure software
- Administer and maintain server operating systems
- Set up and maintain local networks and optimize their performance
- Set up and manage Microsoft 365 cloud services and RMM tools
- Manage user accounts and access permissions in Active Directory
- Deploy and use security solutions and ensure network, system, and data protection
- Plan and carry out upgrades and maintenance with minimal disruption to operations
- Document repairs, troubleshooting activities, and maintenance schedules, and maintain technical data
- Identify device failures, initiate orders, and support the preparation of customer proposals
- Assist users with operating software and devices
- Support technical trainees with their training curriculum
Requirements
What you’ll need- Practical experience and solid expertise in a professional IT environment
- Knowledge of server, client, and network administration
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and RMM tools
- Enjoyment of customer interaction, a service-oriented approach, and a confident, professional manner
- Independent and structured working style, initiative, and the ability to prioritize
- Awareness of IT security and data protection, as well as the impact of administrative changes
- Willingness to share knowledge with colleagues and support technical trainees
- Class B driver's license
- Educational background is not decisive; your existing skills are what matter most
