About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Generate and consistently improve Qlik Talend pipelines
Create and maintain pipelines for each customer’s data
Create a reusable toolkit of code for validation and transformations that can be used by other customers
Generate automated validation checks on received data before loading into the database
Become an expert in Qlik Talend Studio so requested data transformations can be performed
Use Java to perform advanced manipulation of data
Ensure data is handled correctly by Qlik Talend and poor data is not loaded into the database
Use GitHub for source control of created pipelines
Liaise with Data Stewards to ensure pipelines can process customer data
Liaise with the business to understand customer requirements and keep the business informed of pipeline progress
Provide users with feedback about customer data quality

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience of using ETL software
Experience using Microsoft packages, including Excel
Knowledge of SQL
Knowledge of Java, Qlik Talend and GitHub (desirable)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Great attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Applicants should be educated to degree level or possess solid work experience in related field.
