About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Process incoming payments by applying daily cash receipts to customer accounts and sales ledgers
  • Reconcile bank transactions against internal financial records
  • Investigate and resolve overpayments, underpayments, and unallocated funds
  • Collaborate with credit control teams to escalate queries and facilitate resolution
  • Follow up on outstanding client remittances
  • Support accurate cash forecasting, allocation, and alignment in the Treasury team
  • Report to the Finance Team Leader

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Familiarity with financial systems and tools
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Clear and confident communication skills
  • Highly organised and efficient approach to managing daily tasks
  • Must live within a commutable distance of the Telford office
  • Full-time availability, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
