About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work directly with patients to treat a variety of substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions
  • Provide counseling to patients in one-on-one, group, and family settings
  • Develop relationships with patients and guide them through their recovery journey
  • Collaborate with the medical director, physicians, nurse practitioners, and case managers
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients
  • Work independently, take ownership of patient care, build rapport, and contribute to a collaborative team environment
  • Report to Recover’s Clinical Supervisor
  • Provide evening coverage for clients who need support outside a standard 9-5 schedule

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • CAADC / LAADC certification valid in California from one of the three state-recognized certifying organizations
  • OR be an AMF / ASW / APCC in need of supervised practice hours
  • 2+ years of experience in mental health and/or substance use treatment
  • Availability for Evening hours
  • Lived experience with substance use
  • Fluent in Spanish
