About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate and navigate all dive center vessels safely and in compliance with maritime regulations
  • Support the Dive Center Manager in day-to-day operations and marine activity performance
  • Prepare vessels daily, ensuring operational readiness, safety compliance, and presentation standards
  • Captain scheduled dive excursions and coordinate safe diver drop-offs and pick-ups
  • Maintain vessel cleanliness, appearance, and operational condition
  • Assist with cylinder handling, equipment organization, and general dive center upkeep
  • Collaborate with Sustainability and SEZ teams on environmental regulations and marine conservation objectives
  • Support multi-site operations, remote work, and site visits as required
  • Assist with setup and operational readiness of dive center marine assets during pre-opening
  • Develop knowledge of local dive sites, navigation routes, and marine conditions
  • Monitor weather, sea conditions, and operational risks
  • Maintain vessel logs, maintenance records, daily reports, schedules, and incident documentation
  • Conduct routine inspections and basic troubleshooting of vessels and outboard engines, escalating issues as required
  • Enforce marine safety standards, emergency procedures, risk management protocols, and environmental regulations
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized vessel environment for guests and crew
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, safety, guest experience, and processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Licensed/registered Boat Captain in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  • Strong knowledge of local waters, preferably within the Al Wajh Lagoon or similar environments
  • Proven experience in marine operations, ideally supporting diving or tourism activities
  • Experience working with divers and understanding dive operation requirements
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills for boats and outboard engines
  • Previous experience in hospitality or luxury tourism environments is an advantage
  • Proficiency in spoken English
  • Arabic is an advantage
  • Strong customer service mindset and proactive attitude
  • High level of responsibility and commitment to safety
  • Excellent situational awareness and decision-making under pressure
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills
  • High attention to detail and operational discipline
  • Ability to engage with guests from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Professional presentation aligned with luxury service standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating sound judgment and discretion
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends and peak seasons
