About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver and support all inland, land-based adventure activities across The Red Sea destination
- Lead guests on Akun Adventure experiences while ensuring safety, engagement, and memorable outdoor experiences
- Conduct pre-activity briefings covering safety instructions, risk awareness, and experience expectations
- Follow safety protocols, SOPs, RAMS, and emergency procedures
- Educate guests on environmental awareness, conservation, and responsible outdoor behavior
- Provide professional, welcoming, and service-oriented guest interactions
- Monitor weather, terrain, and guest capability and adjust activity plans as needed
- Assist with trail exploration and assessment
- Support trip planning, logistics, equipment preparation, and vehicle readiness
- Provide operational feedback, insights, and incident reports to the Senior Instructor and RSSE management
- Maintain adventure equipment, ensuring cleanliness, readiness, and safety compliance
- Assist in training, mentoring, and developing Adventure Specialists and junior team members
- Comply with RSSE and Red Sea Global policies, processes, SOPs, and operational guidelines
- Support accurate and timely operational reports and MIS data
- Identify hazards, report risks, and support continuous risk mitigation
- Contribute to continuous improvement across adventure operations, systems, and guest experiences
Requirements
What you’ll need- Valid Wilderness First Aid or internationally recognized First Aid certification
- Basic Land Navigation training, including natural navigation and GPS usage
- Leave No Trace certification or equivalent environmental training
- Search, Tracking & Operations training
- Trekking / Mountain Leader certification (IFMGA, UIAA, or BMC preferred)
- Additional National Governing Body (NGB) certifications from accredited providers, such as Mountain Biking, Climbing, Archery, High Ropes, or Quad Biking
- Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years’ experience within the tourism, adventure, or outdoor recreation industry
- Experience in Saudi Arabia is an advantage
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced outdoor environment
- Flexible, adaptable, and resourceful with strong problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience within adventure, sports, or outdoor organizations
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills within multicultural environments
- Ability to identify operational hazards and strictly follow SOPs and RAMS to mitigate risk
- Willingness to learn, accept guidance, and pursue ongoing professional development
- Strong commitment to service excellence, safety, and quality
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to personal and professional growth
- Fluency in spoken and written English is required
- Arabic or an additional language is a strong advantage
- Physical fitness, environmental awareness, and flexibility in working hours
