About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define the SOC strategy, technology roadmap, and tool portfolio (EDR, SIEM, SOAR, Firewall, WAF, Cloud), evaluating new solutions and vendors
- Establish standards, policies, and SLAs for incident investigation and response operations
- Serve as the executive escalation point for critical incidents, coordinating with clients, the Executive Team, and Legal and Communications departments
- Define and track the SOC’s executive KPIs and SLAs (MTTD, MTTR, availability, and customer satisfaction), reporting results to the Executive Team and CEO
- Represent Redbelt in executive meetings with strategic clients and prospects, presenting results and the security strategy
- Lead highly complex security crises, coordinating the Executive Team, clients, and support departments through resolution
- Lead and develop department leaders and specialists, defining the organizational structure, succession planning, and performance evaluations with the HR Department
- Provide technological, operational, and commercial direction, manage the budget, and participate in the company’s strategic decisions
- Serve as Redbelt’s technical and strategic reference point for clients, the Executive Team, and the CEO
- Advance the security maturity of operations and clients, from monitoring through incident response
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cyber Defense, Computer Networking, Computer Science, or a related field
- Graduate degree/MBA in Management, Information Security, or Cybersecurity
- At least 10 years of experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a SOC leadership role or leading information security teams
- Previous experience in a SOC leadership position (Manager level or above), with a comprehensive understanding of the operation and day-to-day activities of the function
- Strategic experience with market-leading SIEM platforms and related technologies (EDR, SOAR, XDR)
- Advanced knowledge of security architecture, networking, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- In-depth knowledge of security frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP) and regulatory requirements (LGPD/GDPR)
- Experience with budget management, workforce sizing, and negotiations with technology vendors
- Fluent English
- Management and strategic Information Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CGEIT, or similar) are a plus
- Experience managing crises and communicating with the Board/C-level executives is a plus
- Experience in MSSP companies or multi-client SOC operations is a plus
- Track record of supporting sales teams with technical proposals and strategic client relationships is a plus
