About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Contribute to data quality, performance, reliability, and automation initiatives
Manage a portfolio of data products delivering high-quality, trustworthy data
Develop and maintain robust data pipelines and workflows for data ingestion, processing, and transformation
Collaborate with engineering to ensure data pipeline quality and reliability
Develop and implement data quality checks, conduct QA, and implement monitoring routines
Create and manage data integrations across internal and external systems
Create and manage internal tools and applications that streamline data analysis and reporting
Drive adoption of tools and applications with a focus on automation, consistency, and reliability
Advise data scientists, engineering managers, and leadership on data foundations
Communicate and shape Reddit’s data foundations roadmap and strategy

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a quant educational field
3+ years of experience working with large-scale ETL systems in a production environment
Experience implementing, strategizing, and maintaining large-scale ETL systems
Experience building clean, maintainable code and systems; Python preferred
Strong programming proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, Scala, etc.
Experience with data modeling, ETL and ELT concepts, and efficient data governance patterns
Experience manipulating massive-scale structured and unstructured data
Experience with data workflows such as Airflow
Experience with front-end or back-end engineering
Experience in data analysis and dashboard design
Deep understanding of technical and functional designs for relational and MPP Databases
Proven track record of cross-functional execution and collaboration
Agentic AI-assisted development experience
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels
Ability to work independently and autonomously, as well as part of a team
