About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Identify major opportunities to evolve communities on Reddit and turn them into a clear product strategy and roadmap
Lead zero-to-one community experiences from problem definition through launch, learning, and scale
Build a deep understanding of members, contributors, community builders, and healthy community dynamics
Translate user and ecosystem insights into high-quality product experiences
Assess ecosystem tradeoffs, including impacts to community health, contribution quality, and member trust
Define goals, success metrics, milestones, and learning plans connecting user value with Reddit’s broader strategy
Partner with Engineering, Design, Data, Research, and cross-functional teams to make product tradeoffs and execute
Communicate strategy, decisions, tradeoffs, and learning clearly to senior stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

Staff-level consumer product experience owning meaningful product surfaces or systems with measurable user impact
Exceptional product sense, including strong user intuition, problem framing, prioritization, UX judgment, and product taste
Track record leading ambiguous zero-to-one or major product-evolution work from strategy through launch and learning
Experience shaping product bets across multiple surfaces, user journeys, teams, or parts of a broader consumer ecosystem
Strong analytical judgment, including defining success metrics, interpreting evidence, and changing direction when needed
Excellent cross-functional leadership with Design, Engineering, Data, Research, and partner teams
Nice to have: Experience with community, social, creator, UGC, or marketplace products
Nice to have: Experience shaping user participation, identity, contribution, belonging, or reputation
Nice to have: Experience evolving mature product systems or designing for multi-sided ecosystems with distinct user needs and incentives
