About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Partner with Product Management, Product Design, Data Science, and client engineers to translate business and user needs into reliable, low-latency technical solutions
Own the full software lifecycle for major product initiatives, from technical design documents and API contracts through development, testing, rollout, and observability
Design, build, and evaluate A/B experiments
Analyze user behavior, conversion funnels, and retention loops using tools such as BigQuery, HEX, or Firebase
Build and maintain scalable APIs and distributed backend services optimized for native mobile and web applications
Establish engineering best practices and improve developer workflows
Mentor teammates and use modern AI-integrated tools to ship high-quality products efficiently

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of hands-on backend development experience
Experience building and operating large-scale distributed serving systems in high-concurrency environments
Proficiency in Go or Python, or Java, Kotlin, Rust, or C++
Expertise designing and maintaining scalable APIs using GraphQL, REST, or gRPC
Experience with high-throughput caching layers and distributed datastores such as Redis, Cassandra, or PostgreSQL
Experience or interest in AI-assisted engineering tools
Experience designing experiments and establishing performance metrics
Ability to work in fully remote or hybrid team environments
