About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide operational leadership and manage development programs in the drug development industry
  • Contribute to cross-functional Strategic Program Teams and sub-teams
  • Develop strategic plans including goals, budgets and timelines
  • Monitor execution of plans from preclinical development through commercialization and lifecycle management
  • Coordinate and track integrated project/program plans, timelines and budgets
  • Identify and assess project risks, track risks and issues, and contribute to risk management plans
  • Identify, manage and handle relevant business situations arising on Development Teams
  • Manage project management planning systems including MS Project and SharePoint
  • Tailor communication for different audiences and communicate context, decisions and actions
  • Identify, develop and implement long-term solutions to project issues
  • Develop tools and mechanisms to document and monitor solution implementation
  • Escalate complex problems or issues to the lead DPM
  • Influence teams and across functions, keep managers and stakeholders informed, and represent the function in collaborative activities
  • Identify and manage conflict with support

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Relevant broad project / program management experience of 7+ years
  • Preferably experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to understand and motivate others and build effective teams
  • Strong presentation and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to promote constructive interactions for strong cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to resolve and negotiate conflicts or issues with tact, diplomacy and composure
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced entrepreneurial organizations
  • Expertise in dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty
  • High School Diploma, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree
