- How You'll Make an Impact:
- You'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial information and maintaining strong client relationships. Responsibilities include:
- Accounting & Financial Reporting
- - Prepare and post journal entries with limited supervision.
- - Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other general ledger accounts.
- - Maintain depreciation and amortization schedules.
- - Prepare compiled financial statements and customized client reports.
- - Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities.
- - Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and financial questions.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable
- - Process vendor invoices and payments.
- - Support 1099 reporting by gathering and maintaining vendor documentation.
- - Communicate with vendors to resolve payment and billing issues.
- - Create customer invoices and apply payments.
- - Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up with customers as needed.
- - Resolve discrepancies while maintaining positive client relationships.
- Payroll Administration
- - Process payroll accurately and on schedule.
- - Review payroll registers and payroll previews for accuracy.
- - Record payroll-related journal entries, including taxes and deductions.
- - Research payroll tax requirements and registration needs.
- - Respond to payroll-related correspondence from government agencies.
- Client Service & Advisory Support
- - Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients.
- - Develop an understanding of client operations and industry needs.
- - Identify issues, recommend solutions, and communicate proactively.
- - Provide exceptional service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Your Desired Skills & Experiences
- - High school diploma; Associate's Degree a plus.
- - 3+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience.
- - Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting practices.
- - Experience preparing journal entries and financial reports.
- - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- - Experience using accounting and payroll software
