About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute all administrative tasks related to account management and policy servicing for small commercial accounts
- Process policy endorsements, renewals, and cancellations
- Maintain accurate account records
- Ensure timely and accurate handling of client requests, policy updates, and back-end service work
- Order renewal policies, verify them against proposals, and process them in the Agency Management System
- Handle endorsements, follow up with carriers, check accuracy, bill endorsements, and send them to clients
- Follow up on new business submissions with carriers
- Enter and rate policies into carrier websites and order new policies
- Issue standard certificates of insurance and other forms
- Monitor payment status of direct bill policies and notify the Account Manager of cancellation risks
- Track claims and update the agency management system with activity, payments, and closures
- Verify audit accuracy, review audits with agency staff, bill audits, and send audit review letters
- Order motor vehicle reports and loss runs
- Review and process mail; back up office phone calls and walk-in traffic as needed
- Adopt innovative technology, including proprietary AI solutions, into the service process
- Perform other assigned projects, duties, and tasks
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Property and Casualty License from state of domicile is required within 90 days of hire and must be maintained thereafter
- Associate in Insurance (AINS) and/or Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) Designation preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred; may be required, depending on location
- 1+ year experience in Customer Service preferred
- Knowledge of insurance markets, products, services insurance ratings and underwriting procedures preferred
- Working knowledge of personal lines of coverage preferred
- Proficient in using computers and Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be computer literate with the ability to learn new software
- Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills are required
- Must be able to understand written and oral communications and interpret information written within policies
- Ability to work independently with limited daily supervision and to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to function effectively under tight time constraints, consistently meet strict deadlines, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment
