Shape the aims, scope, priorities, and formats for the journal
Manage the in-house editorial team
Coordinate rigorous evaluation of submissions
Ensure the quality and value of the journal as a forum for research, analysis, and ideas
Attract world-leading article submissions through a global network of researchers
Travel extensively to engage with the global research community
Attend conferences and visit research institutes
Develop and foster partnerships with Cell Press editorial teams
Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, and Press teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven research expertise and a broad interest in research across the scope of Device
Deep network of international researchers within the scope of the journal
Proven ability to engage with and influence researchers
Ability to think conceptually and critically about a wide range of scientific issues
Proven organizational, project management, leadership, and teamwork skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Extensive editorial experience is valued
