About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the Head Talent Partner to the RX business and HR leadership team
  • Own delivery of the Talent and Capability Centre of Excellence strategy and align it with divisional priorities
  • Represent the Centre of Excellence on the divisional HR leadership team
  • Integrate talent solutions and development initiatives into business goals and performance
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and implement Talent and Capability approaches supporting RX business objectives
  • Advocate for and implement RELX leadership and development programs within RX
  • Elevate manager capability and shape a high-performance RX culture
  • Build a strong talent pipeline of future leaders
  • Represent RX needs and interests in RELX-wide Talent and Capability discussions and initiatives
  • Monitor the quality, effectiveness, and user experience of talent initiatives using data and metrics
  • Coordinate RELX Talent Review activities with business leaders and HR partners
  • Identify critical positions, talent readiness, and succession pipelines
  • Support strategies addressing technical and behavioural readiness gaps
  • Drive a culture of feedback and recognition
  • Collaborate with global HR colleagues to ensure integrated approaches for employees and leaders
  • Manage the divisional training plan and account for categories 1 and 2 budget while monitoring category 3 non-T&C training spend
  • Identify opportunities to move high-volume administrative and autonomous tasks to Tier 0 and Tier 1 support

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Business Administration, or Organisational Development
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in talent management, performance management, and organisational development
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful talent strategies
  • Effective leadership and team collaboration skills
  • Working knowledge and experience with Workday
  • Ability to recognise and incorporate the voice of the business when designing, delivering, and embedding talent practices
  • Ability to advocate, educate, and influence senior leaders across T&C expertise areas
  • Experience operating and leading across different geographies and industries
  • Experience delivering large-scale, highly visible talent initiatives
  • Ability to build relationships with executive and senior leadership teams, cross-functional teams, and critical stakeholders
  • Understanding of RX business challenges and opportunities, with ability to prioritise and align T&C support
  • Awareness of the impact of AI and global trends on work and roles, and ability to identify required upskilling and shifts in focus
  • Ability to engage in outcome-focused conversations and bridge T&C solutions with business culture, performance, and objectives
  • Critical strategic and commercial thinking
