About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Identify, evaluate, and acquire external data sources supporting strategic business and product priorities
Identify new market opportunities and data partnerships
Build and manage data supplier relationships throughout the acquisition lifecycle
Partner with product, analytics, legal, compliance, finance, and technology teams
Drive supplier due diligence, data evaluations, and onboarding activities
Negotiate commercial terms and support contract development with legal and business stakeholders
Oversee transition of new data assets from evaluation through implementation and operational handoff
Monitor supplier performance and manage ongoing governance activities
Address supplier issues, renewals, and contract-related decisions
Develop business cases, recommendations, and status updates for prioritization and executive decision-making
Ensure acquisition activities align with internal policies, risk standards, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in business or risk management, preferred
Minimum 5 years related work experience
Experienced with contract negotiations
Proven success managing external data and vendor relationships
Proven success working with multiple functional areas
Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision
Strong research, financial analysis, business analyst/support skills
Solid collaboration and influence management skills
Strength in communication, interacting and influencing at all levels of the organization
Executive presence and professional presentation skills
Understanding of technology and database applications
Detail oriented
Ability to handle multiple issues concurrently in a dynamic environment
Ability to perform follow-up and status updates on multiple items
Familiarity with the Auto and Home Insurance markets is a plus
