About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify, evaluate, and acquire external data sources supporting strategic business and product priorities
  • Identify new market opportunities and data partnerships
  • Build and manage data supplier relationships throughout the acquisition lifecycle
  • Partner with product, analytics, legal, compliance, finance, and technology teams
  • Drive supplier due diligence, data evaluations, and onboarding activities
  • Negotiate commercial terms and support contract development
  • Oversee transition of new data assets from evaluation through implementation and operational handoff
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage governance activities, issues, renewals, and contract decisions
  • Develop business cases, recommendations, and status updates for prioritization and executive decision-making
  • Ensure acquisition activities align with internal policies, risk standards, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or risk management, preferred
  • Minimum 5 years related work experience
  • Experienced with contract negotiations
  • Proven success managing external data and vendor relationships
  • Proven success working with multiple functional areas
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision
  • Strong research, financial analysis, business analyst/support skills
  • Solid collaboration and influence management skills
  • Strength in communication, interacting and influencing at all levels of the organization
  • Executive presence and professional presentation skills
  • Understanding of technology and database applications
  • Detail orientated
  • Ability to handle multiple issues concurrently in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to perform follow up and status updates on multiple items
  • Familiarity with the Auto and Home Insurance markets a plus
