About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the technical anchor for a cross-functional engineering squad
Own design direction and safeguard quality, security, and performance across applications, services, and data pipelines
Design, build, and maintain Java Spring Boot applications, React applications, and Python data-processing and delivery pipelines
Ensure accurate, reliable, and timely data delivery to downstream clients
Lead code reviews and uphold coding best practices
Complete complex feature development and bug fixes
Drive backlog refinement, technical estimation, and sprint/release readiness in an Agile environment
Act as the primary technical liaison for cross-team dependencies, integrations, and risk resolution
Champion AI-accelerated software development practices
Mentor peers on effective and responsible use of approved AI tooling
Help extend the platform toward a consolidated, next-generation healthcare data platform

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
5+ years of software engineering experience
Track record of owning technical direction and guiding delivery on a cross-functional team
Full-stack delivery experience in Java and a modern JavaScript framework
Python experience building data-processing or data-delivery pipelines
Exposure to AI-assisted development workflows
Advanced proficiency in Java/J2EE and Spring Boot
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React
Proficiency in Python for data-processing and delivery pipelines
Knowledge of workflow orchestration and scheduled batch processing, such as Airflow
Experience with distributed or large-scale data-processing frameworks
Knowledge of relational and NoSQL data stores and search/indexing technologies
Experience with Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes
Strong command of CI/CD, Git branching strategy, and test-driven development
Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants, prompt engineering, AI-assisted code review, test generation, and refactoring
