About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Advise journals on Scopus and Web of Science indexing readiness, quality improvement, and long-term sustainability
  • Coach editors on publishing best practices, research integrity, ethics, and AI-related publishing challenges
  • Develop performance reports, impact analyses, and strategic recommendations
  • Deliver training sessions, workshops, and presentations for editorial teams and institutions
  • Represent Digital Commons at editorial board meetings, conferences, and industry events
  • Partner with product, sales, and consulting teams to identify client needs and drive service excellence
  • Contribute to best practice guides, onboarding materials, and service development initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • PhD in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 5 years of research experience
  • Fluent in English and Arabic, written and spoken
  • Experience in academic publishing, scholarly communications, or journal management
  • Knowledge of Scopus, Web of Science, research integrity, and publishing ethics
  • Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills
  • Prior experience with Editorial Manager or a similar manuscript submission system is a plus
  • Willingness to travel as required
