About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct in-depth legal research and write and edit clear, concise, analytical, and practical tax legal content
- Oversee licensing and procurement of content for CPAs and accountants
- Develop and maintain content for CPAs and accounting professionals
- Analyze legislation, case law, rules/regulations, legal news, and related materials
- Write and edit articles and commentaries on current tax issues for practicing attorneys
- Ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and compliance with legal and editorial standards
- Use generative and agentic AI, automation, and data to streamline content development and editorial processes
- Craft prompts, evaluate AI outputs, and iterate for optimal results
- Track changes and trends in tax law, accounting, and related technology
- Collaborate with Editorial Directors, Legal Editors, Product Managers, and cross-functional partners
- Support content development, licensing, and procurement strategy and execution
- Develop expertise in accounting and tax law practitioners and market ecosystems
- Identify and recruit authors and contractors; prospect firms, pitch projects, and negotiate agreements
- Contribute to product pilots, tool and process evaluations, and standards development
Requirements
What you’ll need- Juris Doctor required; advanced tax law degree preferred
- Significant accounting experience required
- CPA designation REQUIRED
- At least 2 years of tax legal practice experience or equivalent
- At least 2 years of accounting experience or equivalent
- EBEC experience preferred
- Proven analytical, legal, and accounting research and original writing skills
- Ability to interpret AI outputs and integrate insights into legal content creation
- MS Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience using LLMs to assist in drafting, summarizing, and editing/revising
- Proficiency in Lexis+, Lexis+ AI, Protege, or other legal research tools highly preferred
- Experience using Tableau and Power BI a plus
- Strong collaboration, communication, and relationship-building skills
