About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex issues across servers, networks, cloud platforms, and endpoint security
Diagnose root causes rather than patching symptoms
Proactively audit client environments for risks, vulnerabilities, and inefficiencies
Build monitoring, alerting, and automation to catch or eliminate problems
Lead infrastructure projects end-to-end, including cloud migrations, Microsoft 365 deployments, network overhauls, and security implementations
Write and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive manual tasks
Mentor junior engineers
Communicate clearly with clients and vendors
Document systems and work comprehensively
Own client environments and improve team and operational standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of IT experience, minimum 2 in an MSP or multi-client environment
Deep proficiency in Windows Server (2016–2022), Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy, and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
Strong networking fundamentals: routing, switching, VLANs, firewall management (SonicWall, Fortinet, or Meraki)
Solid Microsoft 365 and Azure experience (AZ-104 level or equivalent)
PowerShell scripting proficiency
Hands-on experience with RMM and PSA platforms (Datto, HaloPSA, NinjaRMM, or equivalent)
VOIP support experience (3CX or similar)
Strong diagnostic skills and root-cause analysis
