About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and build frontend and backend features for customer experiences that enable energy-saving automation
Serve as the technical owner of critical product experience flows
Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and product management teams
Work across the stack, including TypeScript/React, Python, Nx, PostgreSQL, Celery, AWS/GCP, Ubuntu, Apache, Redis, Git, and Jira
Implement UI and API monitoring tools
Proactively monitor performance and stability
Participate in regular team updates, standups, one-on-ones, and peer code reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of industry experience building fullstack software services
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, or demonstrated experience in the software industry
Experience building features for scale and performance using scalable APIs, REST frameworks, component libraries, and UI design/token systems
Strong UI development experience
Proficiency with React or other modern UI frameworks
Strong SQL skills
Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redshift, and MongoDB
Proficiency in one or more of TypeScript, Python, Java, PHP, and Ruby
Ability to work through ambiguity
Excellent problem-solving skills
Attention to detail
Experience with Remix/React Router (bonus)
Experience with scalable distributed data processing (bonus)
Experience with AWS Lambda/cloud functions, pub/sub, and Prefect tools (bonus)
Experience with cloud automation and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK (bonus)
Experience in the electric power industry (bonus)
Experience working with external partners (bonus)
Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored visa sponsorship
