About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define the overall avionics architecture of satellite platforms and maintain models/diagrams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Design the overall grounding and bonding architecture of spacecraft
  • Design and maintain electrical circuit diagrams and interfaces
  • Participate in interface definitions between subsystems
  • Participate in supply-chain definition for batteries, power distribution units, and related components
  • Prepare reports and presentations about the avionics subsystem
  • Perform functional testing and qualification of avionics components
  • Support the high-level avionics systems design for a new project and other company projects
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and consortium partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 10 years' working within avionics systems engineering or similar areas within the GEO space industry
  • Knowledge and professional experience of the full lifecycle of avionics subsystems
  • High-level system design of avionics subsystems
  • Ability to analyse data, derive conclusions, and manage design documentation
  • Ability to review and approve design changes
  • Comfortable working closely with external vendors and consortium partners
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Security clearance may be required for certain positions
