About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build, mentor, and grow a team of mobile design engineers
  • Define the technical vision and strategy for mobile design systems
  • Establish frameworks and patterns that ship to production and scale across iOS, Android, and responsive web
  • Partner with design, product, and engineering leadership to prioritize mobile initiatives

  • Provide technical guidance and code review
  • Champion accessible, responsive interfaces
  • Establish processes that improve mobile design-to-development workflow
  • Balance hands-on technical contribution with people management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of engineering management experience with a track record of building and scaling high-performing teams
  • Proven experience building production frameworks and component systems that scale across products
  • Deep technical background with mobile development
  • Experience with mobile-specific web APIs
  • Experience with native mobile development (Swift/Kotlin)
  • Experience with React and React Native or similar cross-platform frameworks
  • Experience with PWAs
  • Experience with mobile design patterns
  • Experience with complex UI animations and gesture-based interactions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with mentoring, performance management, and career development
  • Ability to work from the Foster City, CA office Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
