About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide analysis and estimate approval for construction projects
  • Ensure proposed plans and estimates comply with property standards
  • Assess whether constructed buildings conform to specifications and material and cost estimates
  • Apply construction techniques and specifications knowledge to existing or proposed housing
  • Review and approve contractor estimates

  • Coach and educate estimators regarding client requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in the building and construction field
  • Demonstrated strong proficiency in MS Excel
  • Knowledge of construction practices and labor costs in construction
  • Good knowledge of the uses and costs of materials
  • Ability to multitask with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and quality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Process improvement-oriented mindset
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a professional manner
  • Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision
  • Curiosity and desire to solve problems
  • Proficient in construction-related software
  • Strong knowledge of Excel
  • Results-oriented and able to adapt to a changing environment
