About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Handle inbound and outbound collections calls professionally and efficiently
- Contact customers regarding delinquent accounts and work toward appropriate resolutions
- Negotiate payment arrangements according to established guidelines
- Handle objections, resistance, and difficult customer conversations professionally
- Maintain consistent and appropriate customer follow-up
- Document account interactions, payment arrangements, and updates accurately
- Follow applicable collections policies and compliance requirements
- Maintain customer confidentiality and protect sensitive account information
- Work toward individual and team collections performance targets
- Deliver a professional customer experience while working toward account resolution
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 1 year of BPO, contact center, or professional collections experience
- Experience handling inbound and outbound collections calls
- Experience handling delinquent or past-due accounts
- Experience negotiating payment arrangements or resolving outstanding balances
- Knowledge of FDCPA and U.S. collections compliance requirements
- Fluent English communication skills
- Fluent Spanish communication skills
- Experience working toward individual or team collections KPIs
- Must be permanently located in Mexico or Colombia
- Must have the required equipment and internet connection for reliable remote work
- Windows 11 PC; Mac not supported
- Minimum 16 GB RAM
- i5 processor or higher
- Additional monitor
- Webcam
- Wired USB headset
- Stable, reliable wired Ethernet internet
- Backup power solution
- Microsoft Teams / Office 365
