About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide professional and courteous customer service through inbound and outbound calls and email
- Respond to questions regarding program guidelines, eligibility, services, application status, and documentation requirements
- Conduct outbound calls and follow up on open leads according to program requirements and performance goals
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and contact attempts
- Review and respond to voicemail messages and callback requests
- Address customer inquiries and complaints professionally
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and program information
- Enter, update, and maintain customer and program information in internal, external, and utility databases
- Research program information and customer records to provide accurate assistance
- Obtain and maintain supporting documentation for program enrollment files
- Use Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data entry and administrative tasks
- Perform basic mathematical calculations to assess customer eligibility and program qualifications
- Meet productivity and quality standards set by Program Management
- Manage time effectively and maintain consistent attendance
- Perform general administrative duties, including copying, faxing, and preparing outgoing mail
- Learn and apply program guidelines and materials
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience in a customer service environment
- 1 year of experience in an office environment performing administrative duties
- Preferred: 2 years of experience in a call center environment
- Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish)
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to learn and apply program guidelines
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and reference check
- Pre-employment drug screen may be required if applicable to the position
