About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a key contact for distributors, contractors, utility partners, and internal teams.
  • Build trust-based relationships that support program participation and success.
  • Advance projects through proactive communication, coordination, and follow-up from submission to payment.
  • Support presentations, trainings, and in-person events promoting program offerings.
  • Develop and distribute marketing content and program communications.
  • Assist with applications, project tracking, documentation, and issue resolution.
  • Monitor program activity, maintain project databases, and support reporting on participation, performance, and milestones.
  • Collaborate with program management, marketing, outreach, rebate processing, and software teams.
  • Adapt to changing program needs, market conditions, and client priorities while maintaining customer service and partner satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2–4+ years of experience in energy efficiency programs, account management, customer success, outreach, sales support, project coordination, or a related field.
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences.
  • Self-motivated to drive results, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Comfort balancing people-facing work with administrative and coordination responsibilities.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Salesforce, and online application systems.
  • Interest in sustainability, clean energy, and making a meaningful environmental impact.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed.
  • Experience with utility energy efficiency programs, demand-side management, lighting, building systems, or construction-related fields.
  • Experience working with subcontractors, community organizations, or utility clients.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and reference check.
  • Pre-employment drug screen may be required, if applicable to the position.
