About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee successful execution of assigned assessment programs
  • Provide oversight and leadership to direct reports
  • Monitor program progress against contract requirements, quality expectations, timelines, and financial goals
  • Approve invoices before submission of expenses as necessary
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support assessment program success
  • Provide program performance reporting to executive staff and clients
  • Coordinate with engineering, analytics, business development, and finance teams on program operations, reporting, and client deliverables
  • Meet assessment program budget, productivity, quality, and profitability targets
  • Serve as the client’s senior point of contact
  • Attend client meetings
  • Support staff with difficult customer relationships or requests
  • Monitor contracted vendor performance as needed
  • Develop and manage program staffing plans
  • Motivate and manage employees through performance management and feedback systems
  • Provide staff development opportunities
  • Maximize employee engagement and retention
  • Act as liaison between RI offices
  • Represent the local office or program at meetings, conferences, and presentations
  • Serve as an engaged member of the Senior Advisory Council

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be located in the greater Santa Fe Springs, CA area
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field such as Business Administration/Management, or technical field of Energy Efficiency, Engineering, Construction Management, etc., or commensurate experience
  • 5+ years managing assessment programs or multiple projects of increasing responsibility
  • 3+ years in management and supervision of diverse project teams and personnel
  • Valid California driver’s license and personal automobile insurance
  • Approximately 2 days per week in the office, with flexibility to be onsite more frequently as business needs arise
  • Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with some evening and weekend hours as needed
  • Periodic travel with some overnight stays
  • Reliable personal transportation
  • Ability to occasionally lift files and materials up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to perform required vision tasks and use a computer and keyboard approximately 90% of the time
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and reference check
  • Pre-employment drug screen may be required if applicable
