Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
  • Assist in preparing consolidated financial results and supporting analyses
  • Prepare variance analyses and investigate fluctuations for management reporting
  • Maintain audit-ready workpapers, reconciliations, and account supporting schedules
  • Serve as a resource for accounting questions and process guidance
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items
  • Monitor account activity and identify unusual transactions or risks
  • Support accounting controls and accounting policy and procedure improvements
  • Conduct financial and operational analyses to support decision-making
  • Provide insights on trends, variances, and key business drivers
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
  • Identify efficiency, process standardization, and manual-effort reduction opportunities
  • Contribute to finance transformation projects, system implementations, acquisitions, integrations, and process redesign
  • Document processes and establish organizational best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • CPA designation
  • 3–7 years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and generally accepted accounting principles
  • Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and financial analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Demonstrated initiative and commitment to continuous improvement
  • Ability to partner with stakeholders across the business
