About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare standard insurance documents using templates and underwriters’ guidelines
- Enter and update data in Guidewire or other systems
- Organize and maintain digital underwriting files
- Respond to routine inquiries from brokers and escalate more complex matters
- Assist with gathering underwriting information for submissions
- Support compliance efforts by ensuring documentation is accurate
- Report to the Operations Support Team Lead
- Develop a strong foundation in underwriting practices and contribute to team efficiency
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the insurance industry
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Bilingual in English and French, both spoken and written, to support underwriters and brokers across Canada
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize effectively
- Adaptable and proactive
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability
