About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Swap electric bike batteries
- Balance the system by moving e-bikes around
- Provide customer service and answer questions on the street
- Operate and maintain service vehicles
- Perform in-field bike inspections, basic repairs, overhauls, and cleaning
- Maintain stations through troubleshooting, parts and battery replacement, and cleaning
- Install and remove stations
- Prepare e-bikes for events, set up, table, and tear down
- Adapt to changing roles
- Serve as the public face of BCycle in the field
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or GED
- Clean driving record
- Positive attitude and self-motivation
- Small team skills and willingness to have fun while completing goals
- Impressive attention to detail
- Bike Share experience is a plus
- Ability to work Monday to Friday, 2:00 pm–7:00 pm, 25 hours per week, including evening hours
- Ability to work outdoors in various temperatures, including rain, extreme cold, and heat
- Ability to work in warehouse, office, company vehicle, and outdoor environments
- Ability to bend, stoop, and lift materials weighing up to 65 pounds
- Ability to safely operate gas vehicles in heavy traffic in an urban environment
- Ability to occasionally work on short ladders
- Ability to speak clearly and understand another person's speech
- Ability to see details of objects less than a few feet away
- Ability to stand or sit for several hours at a time
